Vincent Van De Voort, winner of over 12 World Titles and instantly recognisable as the quickest thrower in the World describes the lightning rods that he uses. “My darts are 21 grams with a parallel barrel with 2 variations of rings cut either at the very ends of the dart to give me a stronger grip for my quick release. The grip placements fit my hand perfectly so that I can get the same feel in my hand before throwing time and time again, and on most days I really feel that the dart is flying no sooner as it touches my fingers, as if I stop to think about my grip I lose my accuracy”.
Vincent plays under the nickname Vincent, like the World-Renowned artist and his name sake Vincent Van Gough, simple straight shooting, making darts an art is what he does best.
Fast-Throwing Vincent is one of the sport's most successful Dutch players.
A two-time Denmark Open winner before joining the PDC circuit in 2007, he made an immediate impact by reaching the UK Open final, where Raymond van Barneveld denied him the title.
Also a UK Open semi-finalist in 2008, the Dutchman won four PDC ProTour titles in 2010 and 2011 as well as reaching the World Matchplay and World Championship quarter-finals.
2012 saw Van der Voort partner Van Barneveld to the World Cup of Darts semi-finals, while a European Tour win in Austria in 2014 helped reignite his rise back up the rankings as he continued to battle a back injury.
Van der Voort has since been a semi-finalist at the Players Championship Finals and reached further TV quarter-finals at the World Championship, World Grand Prix and The Masters.
